OneView will experience both planned and unplanned downtime. Riverview and Mercy have classified three levels of downtime. These are the services you should expect for each level.
Level 3
Epic production system is down, other systems are available.
- Use: Shadow Server Read Only (SRO) from https://riverviewconnect.mercytechnology.net/
- System: An up-to-date copy of production
- Access: Any workstation
- View/Print: Looks/feels like Epic Hyperspace but is Read Only
Level 2
Entire Epic system is down, other systems are available.
- Use: Business Continuity Access Web (BCAW) from https://epicbcarvhweb.mercytechnology.net/BCAWeb/
- System: Web-based access to view/print on relay server
- Access: Any workstation with Internet Access
- View/Print: Patient-specific reports, Clinical Summary report, MAR report, and Incremental Orders report
Level 1
Power outage, most systems are down.
- Use: Business Continuity Access (BCA)
- System: Dedicated computers with independent power source to store defined critical information
- Access: Through dedicated BCA computer located in each area
- View/Print: Patient-specific reports, Clinical Summary report, MAR report, and Incremental Orders report
Recovery Action Guide
Once service is restored, follow these phases.
Phase 1
- Admission, transfer, and discharge (ADT) forms are accumulated and inputted into the system
- Order/documentation can only be entered on patients who have not had an ADT event during downtime
Phase 2
- Catch-up period where orders/documentation are entered on patients who have had an ADT event during downtime.
