Review the following information to determine why faxes are not being received.

  • The majority of the fax lines in the hospital have been converted over to the new phone system.  There are some fax lines that may not have been converted.  Please contact the helpdesk, if you are having intermittent issues.  This is a clear sign that you fax machine has not been converted.
  • If you wish to receive faxes automatically, verify that automatic answering is enabled on your fax machine.  
  • Consider the age of your fax machine.  Most of the older machines have been updated.  If you have one of the older models, you may need to request that your machine be updated.  Please feel free to make this request be completing a trouble ticket.
  • If the problem still exists, please create a trouble ticket and the Information Systems staff will troubleshoot the issue.
